Trucker is a 12 year old 162 registered AQHA appendix liver chestnut gelding. Trucker has an affectionate personality; he is curious and intelligent. He is comfortable and happy in new locations and at shows. He is happy to ship in or stay over at shows. He is even calm and relaxed enough that I trailered him to my suburban street and gave pony rides to the local kids and turned out in my backyard for an afternoon.
He was started under Western tack as a young horse but switched over to English in 2010 where he learned quickly. For the past 4 years he has been a hunter, including qualifying for Trillium Ontario Champions in 2013 in modified adult equitation.
Despite Truckers past jumping experience he does not seem to enjoy jumping. The ideal match for Trucker is a rider or family that wishes to work on low level dressage and flat work. Trucker can trail ride with another horse or in a group.
I am looking for a long term loving home for Trucker. He is best in consistent work program that I am just not able to provide for him with my busy life. Trucker can get a bit strong in the bridle when jumping (just a little speedy), and even at the canter at times, so a novice or intermediate rider would be recommended for that. I feel he is most suitable as an all-around flat/hack horse with occasional jumping. Good family horse for pony rides with the young kids.
Currently shod in front but is also fine barefoot. Great to trailer, up-to-date on all his shots and deworming, good for farrier and good barn manners. Great in group turn-out. Pedigree/bloodlines available.
