Skip En Kandi is a gorgeous bay roan registered Appendix mare. She is 14 years old and 15.2 hh. She has the perfect combination of the athleticism from her Thoroughbred side, combined with the sweet, gentle nature of the Quarter Horse side. This girl LOVES & LIVES TO JUMP, she has scope to clear the moon! One clinic we were doing an 8 ft Liverpool like it wasn’t even there! (the picture of us jumping the 4’8” oxer was also from this clinic) I have schooled her comfortably up to 1.2 m (free jumped up to 1.3 m) and shown her in the Jumpers up to 1.1 m, although the majority of her showing has been around the 1.0 m level (that photo is of us doing the 1.0 m). It is comforting to know with her level head you are going to get the same horse in the show ring as you had back at home. But the best part about her is that I could take her to a show one weekend and then she could come home and safely trot a beginner over some cross rails the next day. She is a super kind mare. Kandi was used by my old coach in her beginner jumper lesson program for almost two years and she was one of the favourites! Her temperament would suit any level of rider. The only reason I would not sell her to someone just getting into horses is that she does have a very powerful, large canter stride. I’ve taken her out on the cross country course just to play around just a few times and had a blast! She has jumped up to Training level solid fences and Pre-training ditches/ banks. She trailers like a dream (walks into my angle haul on her own actually) and is good with her feet and ground manners, never kicked or bitten. She has never been lame/ injured in the years I’ve owned her, and I am not aware of any injuries from her previous home. I have had some serious personal circumstances to deal with over the past year which have now sadly forced me to sell as I do not know when I will be able to ride again. She is too talented of a mare to just sit around! $11,000 to an approved show home.
