"Wellington" is a 9yr old Belgian x, 16.1hh and located near Collingwood, Ontario, Canada.

Wellington is extremely well educated but has been out of work since summer 2014 and has not been shown since 2009. TO NO FAULT OF HIS OWN.. I love this horse dearly but due to life getting busy I no longer can offer him the time he deserves. I hate to sell him but I hate even more seeing him waste away as he does enjoy work.

Wellington has shown in entry level eventing but has schooled some training level fences on cross country, he is well versed up to 1st level dressage, knows the classical dressage movement "spanish walk", has shown schooling level jumpers, hacks alone like a rock star or with a group and even took part in a hunt with our local hunt club.

Hunting really is his calling! he enjoyed it so much when we went and figured out things rather quickly!

He loves to be trail ridden and for being a big horse he still has one of the softest mouths. I've done gallop stretches with him in a halter and reins, he wears a french link snaffle or a hackamore.

He is not a beginner friendly horse, he requires a knowledgeable, quiet but firm rider on the flat but will keep you safe over fences. Wellington is brave and was originally purchased for me because I had many naughty horses refuse and I needed a confidence boost.. Wellington was my protector, he would jump the moon for me if I asked.

All of his experience is very valuable BUT he is extremely rusty and out of shape... again no fault of his own, I just don't have the time..

His price reflects his unfit condition and it remains firm. He is being sold as is to a forever home who will use him and love him.

He is outside 24/7 with hay, shelter and minimal grain supplement but he also is fine as an indoor horse as well.

Wellington is a character... a total princess to put it lightly.. DIVA.. and forever stuck in his terrible twos. He can be miserable when it comes to food and can be a bully in the paddock . He is extremely oral and nibbles on everything. He will need an owner with a sense of humor and patience lol
