Rowan is a 2008 registered Canadian Warmblood mare by the Dutch Warmblood Stallion, Tacorde. She has been trained and ridden by her adult amateur rider, and is currently schooling 2’6” to 2’9” with lots of scope to move up! Rowan is a forward thinking mare, with lead changes and introductory lateral work. She would be a great prospect for a young rider wanting to show in 2015, and have a horse to move up the levels with!
Rowan’s sire, Tacorde is owned and ridden by Lorrie Jamieson of Klondike Victory Farm, and has been listed in the top ten show jumpers in earnings in Canada in 2014! He is a tall, gentle stallion that has cleared 1.98m at the Spruce Meadows’ Puissance in both 2012 and 2013. He won both Grand Prix at the indoor shows at Spruce Meadows in 2013, and is very competitive at the Grand Prix level in the top venues of Western Canada, as well as in California and Arizona. Many of the top professional jump riders are taking an interest in breeding their high level show jumping mares to this stallion. His offspring are moving up the levels as well!
Tacorde is sired by Olympic Concorde, named Horse of the Year in Holland in 2003. He was the number one producer of show jumpers by money won in the USA for 2002, with his offspring earning nearly a quarter of a million dollars! Tacorde’s dam is by Goodtimes, an international stallion that has produced many successful horses in both the jumper and dressage rings. Goodtimes has sired several approved stallions as well, and is known for producing offspring with terrific eye appeal, athletic ability and excellent conformation.
Rowan is out of a quality thoroughbred mare, allowing her to be a great size for a wide range of riders. She stands 16.1hh, and is very comfortable to ride. Rowan is a beautiful mare that is ready for her next owner to compete and enjoy!
