Teddy is a chestnut 12 year old branded Australian Warmblood. He is big bodied and stands at 16.3 hh. He bathes, clips, is good for farrier and vet, good for deworming, loads, stands tied, crossties, will ground tie, ties to high lines (including overnight), and overall has great ground manners.
Teddy has been consistently in the ribbons at both open shows and 4H shows, including winning Grand Champion in Equitation at the county level. Teddy picks up both leads, side passes, backs, turns on forehand and hindquarters, lunges, and jumps. The highest I’ve jumped him has been about 3’3”, but he could easily go higher. He’s an incredibly willing jumper, and has never refused a fence.
He’s an awesome trail horse, will cross bridges, creeks, with no problems. He’s very friendly and likes to be around people. He doesn’t require any special feed or other considerations, other than being shod on the front when in work. He is sound and healthy.
Teddy is best suited to an experienced rider or one who is working closely with a trainer. I really hate to part with him, but I’m not able to give him the time he deserves.
He just spent two weeks with Stephanie Field at River Ridge Stable in Potosi, WI, for conditioning after not being ridden much this winter due to me being away at school.
Asking $6500, sells with his winter blanket.
