2015 - Member of the Ontario Gold-medal Team at Canadian Interprovincial Equestrian Championships (on a school horse)

Centaur is a riding school, a training facility, a horse show facility and a breeding farm. We have been in business for over 45 years. The Student will learn many aspects of this business.
We are looking for someone to help with daily running of a horse stable as well as grooming, riding, and maybe even some coaching.

The position will be sculpted to meet the Student's goals. The candidate will receive a thorough education in the operation of a successful riding school.
COACHING: Many lessons are taught at Centaur on a weekly basis. If desired, the Student will be taught how to coach as well as mentored during this process.
EC RIDER LEVELS: We hold yearly preparation courses and exams for the different EC Rider Levels. The Student will be welcomed to attend these courses, as well as the exam.
RIDING: We have many school horses at different levels. Depending on the riding skills of Student, horses will be made available for practice.
COMPETITION: Centaur holds many horse shows every year, as well as travel to shows. The Student will be invited to participate at these.
HORSEMANSHIP: The Student will learn about all aspects of horse care, through daily on-hands experience as well as theory courses
ACCOMMODATIONS: An apartment is available with this position, including hydro/heat, and limited internet.
PAY: A daily riding lesson. After Week 2, $100 per week is earned. Any lessons the candidate teaches (once skills are up to par) will be paid.
WHO YOU WILL LEARN FROM: Centaur has been in business for over 45 years teaching dressage and hunters, holding several shows per year, and breeding CSH. Student will be learning from a Level 3 Dressage Coach, plus our many staff coaches. Also on site are our trainers – who are accomplished riders and coaches, having competed very successfully on Centaur-bred horses, winning such titles as Ontario Champion and Eastern Canadian Champion.
