Cedar Creek Riding Stables is conveniently located in Markham, ON near Toronto as well near major highways. We are situated on approximately 40 acres of country land and there is also a residence located on the property.

Riding Director
Our summer riding program operates from July 4 until September 2, Monday to Friday from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Riding Director would have to be available from beginning/mid-May until September 2nd. Campers range in age from 6-15 and register for a minimum of 2 weeks (may also register for 4, 6 or 8 weeks). We lease approximately 30 horses. As the horses are leased, the riding director would be responsible for riding the horses and choosing which horses are suitable for camp prior to their arrival. This typically happens in the beginning of June. Horses arrive on site in the first week of June and the riding director spends 3 weeks riding, training and ensuring that the horses are suitable for the camp program. There is a maximum of 48 campers per session and a staff of approximately 10 (instructors, stable management staff, riding counselors) that must be trained, supervised and managed. In addition to running the program, the Riding Director, with the assistance of your staff, is responsible for feeding, mucking and the general health and well-being of the horses (with the assistance of your staff). Accommodations will be provided.

Requirements
Must be at least be 21 years of age
Have experience teaching children
Preferably horseback riding camp experience
Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills with campers, staff and campers parents

There is also an opportunity for interested persons to lease the riding facility throughout the year. GREAT opportunity as the facility is affiliated with our summer camp program and campers easily transition from camp to year round lessons. Facility is close to city as well as major highways. Interested persons MUST be willing and able to operate our summer riding camp program during the months of July and August (please see details under Riding Director above). Accommodations onsite. Lease price is negotiable.
