Horse Trainer (NOC 8252)
Main Duties:

Oversee equine program, including:
o Train horses;
o Formulate feeding program;
o Recognize and treat certain horse health problems;
o Maintain performance records;
o Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed;
o Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques (Instruct riders in English and dressage disciplines and prepare competitive riders);
o Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens;
o Coordinate and supervise general farm workers;
o Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment;
o Maintain records and logs;
o Perform general farm duties;

Skills Requirements/Experience:
o 5 years experience
o Valid driver’s license
o Own vehicle/own transportation
o Completion of high school
o Riding instructor certificate is required
o Experience in English and Dressage disciplines

o Rural area (960 Hwy 17 E, North Bay, ON)

Rate of pay: $22/hr
Hours of work: 35 hours/ week
Duration: Temporary (1 year)
Benefits: Reduced room and board and horse boarding, $100/week
