Luck of the Draw aka Raffles

Raffles is a 12 yr old 16.1hh OTTB gelding (JC registered). He has competed successfully up to Preliminary both in Canada and the United States and has some CCI* experience. Raffles is a straightforward and forgiving ride. He has lovely dressage (not your average TB movement; I had a well-known professional tell me that he can’t be a TB because his movement was too nice) and is bold and honest to his jumps. Great horse to build confidence. This sweet boy is sound and sane, hacks alone and in groups, is wonderful for the vet and farrier, clips, ties, trailers well, etc.
Raffles would be well-suited to a junior or adult amateur looking for a confidence building partner at the lower levels of eventing or jumpers. Raffles would also suit a talented junior dressage rider looking for something to move through the levels on a budget.

2016 results:
Grandview Spring HT: 10th (out of 30) in the Open Training Division with only 5 points separating him from 1st place !

2015 results include:
Grandview Fall HT: 5th in the Senior Preliminary
Bronte Creek HT: 4th in Preliminary (one of very few clear XC rounds)
Rocking Horse HT II: 8th in Preliminary Rider
Rocking Horse HT I: 7th in Training Horse

During the winter of 2016 Raffles has been doing some dressage shows and has won every test he has been entered in.

This is a very sad sale and only the best homes will be considered.
