ds 15.3hh (large build/I'm 6') and is 10 years old. Sound pretty average so far, right? Far from it! Don't let her breed and colour fool you, this mare was bred to be an eventer. Her sire "Major Jingo" was an APHA stallion who has sired multiple eventing champions across BC and Alberta. Bounce has accompanied me across Canada and was a friend I never imagined parting with. She was bred in BC and came with me to Alberta while I attended college. She was enrolled in the Olds College Equine Coaching program in both English and Western. After College, Bounce spent 2 years at Alborak Stables where she began her eventing career. She was ridden in lessons with Sandra Donnelley and used in Alborak's lease program. She placed 1st at her first Entry level event and had top 3 placing at the events to follow. (She would have won at Championships but *coughcough* her jock got lost on XC). She has schooled up to training level questions but I feel she is more comfortable at Pre-Training (Novice)/Entry level packing. Bounce loves her job in and out of the arena. She enjoys fox hunts, long walks on the beach and mountain riding in the Rockies. Nothing says "extreme trail" like dodging bears, racing elk, tip-toeing on death defining mountain ledges and then cooling off in a waterfall with friends after a long hot day. She has also crossed rivers with currents so strong that you need to look up stream or you will end up drifting away. During her time in Alberta Bounce embraced the western culture by participating in cattle drives, dabbling in gymkhana, and assisting in starting young colts (ponying/snubbing). It's going to be extremely hard to part with my best friend and will require only the best home for her with a buy back option. Maybe I've talked her up too much, here are some faults! This mare is definitely a kick ride, more "woah" than go (maybe not a fault if you prefer this type)..so faults..okay..She does not have her changes and does not turn on a dime which is why I'm being realistic and not suggesting that she would be a competitive A-circuit show jumper or hunter at this time. (Not to say these buttons can not be installed). She has been my pet for years and paid her own bills with leases or lesson programs with different levels of riders. She has no behavior issues other than occasional pawing when tied up and abandoned. She pretends to be lazy and ignores some requests if she thinks she can get away with it. Does she vet? I have no idea. Can you vet her? Sure. Have I vetted her? No. Any soundness or health concerns? No. How long have I owned her? 5 years and never had any issues. Just keep her away from clover. Good with others, stabled in/out doesn't matter. I want her to go to a home where she is appreciated, spoiled and loved. My ideal home would be long term to an experienced horse person who enjoys recreational riding as well as competing. Please do inquire about any questions I have left unanswered. Yes she loads (she would be on the other side of Canada of she didn't), Bathes..often..very often. Good feet, usually barefoot when not competing. I'm pretty sure I've covered everything now.. Reason for selling.. I want to move up. Trades considered on large 16.2+hh young, upper level eventing prospect. Price will be in low five figures. Entertaining offers above $15,000 USD / $20,000 CAD because any less than that and she can stay my pet. 1 or 2 year paid lease also considered if she stays local. Shipping available. Located 30 mins north of Toronto in Newmarket/King Ontario. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaL8UnvhPYM https://youtu.be/L4rCEBmD8Kg |
