Henry (show name Oh Henry) is a fancy 12 year old appendix gelding with lots of chrome and three lovely, floating gaits that are comfortable and easy to sit.
Schooled up to third level dressage, shown in the junior classes in the 2016 season, and has worked some on the beginnings of pirouettes. Excellent lateral work. Needs his changes confirmed, and the fact that they aren't confirmed is reflected in his price. Very well trained, schoolmaster type with crisp transitions, great gaits and a wonderful work ethic. Henry is light in the hand, responsive and sensitive to leg and seat aids. Can be ridden almost completely from the seat. Goes equally well in both the snaffle and double bridle. Behaves the same at home, at clinics and at shows, and goes equally well indoors and out.
Henry would be a perfect match for an amateur looking to work their way up through the levels or someone looking to compete in the Junior classes.
Henry jumps confidently and well but hasn't jumped consistently in a few years. Hacks well alone or in groups, can be ridden bareback, goes anywhere and everywhere. Has seen basically everything there is to see and has absolutely no spook, buck, bolt or rear. No vices or any bad habits and is exceptionally well mannered on the ground. Stands perfectly for vet and farrier, and trailers well. Up to date on all deworming, teeth, farrier and vaccines, fully passport and ready to compete in all competitions. Never had health or soundness issues, never taken so much as a lame step.
Not suitable for a beginner or someone who is timid or looking to only ride occasionally.
I am currently a Master's student and am very busy so don't have the time or finances needed to keep Henry going. Henry is absolutely wonderful and would make someone very happy, and I am very sad to let him go but school and finances dictate it as a necessity. Would like to sell him to a competition home as he likes and needs a job. I would like sell him with all of his tack and equipment. My saddle was recently re-stuffed and fitted to him and he has a full set of blankets and other equipment that I don't want to store.
