Gelding aprox 16hh, built like a tank Born April 2013.
Sire is a 16.3hh Percheron Weighing approx. 1900lb at 4 years old.
Dam is a 15.3 hh Appaloosa bomb proof.
This boy has been started under saddle and in harness.
Walks, trots, and backs up under saddle and in harness. Nice floating movement.
Has been to a "despooking clinic, the mounted patrol way" did very well once he felt accepted into the group. This boy needs to have a buddy. He has also been to a few shows, shown in halter and did well, also shown in western pleasure. He was nervous when I took him to the show ring when by himself. Stood all day tired to the trailer as long as there was another horse to keep him company, called and pawed at the ground when left by himself.
He has good ground manners with a puppy dog personality, wants to please and tries hard to understand what you are asking. Goes barefoot with solid feet, and healthy, no vices, Good for the vet and farrier and trailers well, ties and loves being groomed and fussed over.
He is sound, I've ridden him in my pastures with the other horses around and he is fine.
He is young and inexperienced so definitely not a beginner horse yet, I believe with some time and miles he will make a great all around family horse. He shows potential in all kinds of disciplines from driving to trails to hunt to dressage. This boy has more whoa then go and needs a strong leg to keep him going, he prefers to walk or better yet stand still.
