Silver Moon is a flashy 3 y.o. bay Oldenburg gelding by the famous Schockemoehle stud Sir Donnerhall out of Star Award mare Ultimate Girl by Kupferberg-Gold aka Bismarck (KWPN) out of a Habicht mare. He is a true son of his sire with elegance and an eye-catching presence. His movements are light, powerful yet supple and his natural suspension promises great impulsion and easy collection. As foal he received Premium status with 8.1 total at his Oldenburg foal inspection and tied for Site Champion. A very kind and even temperament paired with an outstanding willingness and a smart mind will translate into a 10+ ride-ability and a sure contender for the Dressage Grand Prix ring. Very easy to handle and a pleasant laid-back attitude will make him an asset for the professional and amateur. Due to his size (16.3 hh and he is still growing) he has not started work yet and is offered for sale for this price before starting his career under saddle. Super clean x-rays, a flawless pre-purchase exam and a negative Coggins were done recently to prepare for the sale. Very rarely do you come across such a promising youngster!

Sire Sir Donnerhall's pedigree is the perfect combination of genes from Sandro Hit and Donnerhall and the Schockemoehle website hails him as “Sire of World Champions, Winners of the German national championships, price record setters and licensing champions, hero and producer of champions of historic uniqueness.”
For years Sir Donnerhall I has dominated the German Championships as no sire has done before him. He has also been one of the most successful sires of auction horses and continuous producer of top horses achieving 6 digit prices. His son Sa Coeur was World Champion of the five-year-old dressage horses and star horse of the PSI auction with a knockdown price of EUR 2.31 million!
His progeny impresses repeatedly with their great style, modern type and supple movements. The FN breeding valuation ranks Sir Donnerhall I, who has himself been trained up to Grand Prix, as one of the best sires of dressage horses (152 points and 99% reliability). He was second reserve champion of his licensing, stallion performance test winner with the highest dressage index score ever awarded of 163 points, Ia main premium sire in 2005 and in 2006 German national champion as well as vice World Champion of five year old dressage horses. His evaluation as breeding stallion states: ‘He fascinates with his feather-light movements and exceptional presence. He is the perfect mix of being nice, of being rideable, of having a good brain, but also of being fresh enough, forward enough and smart enough and trainable enough. He has not only the gaits, but also the willingness, the trainability, the right brain together with an unbelievable presence.’
He quickly turned out to be a foundation stallion: He has already produced 90 licensed sons, including the NRW champion stallion and national German champion Silbermond, the champion stallions of the South German licensing Sir Nymphenburg I and Sir Schiwago as well as numerous premium stallions at every German licensing.
Some further examples of the sales prices of Sir Donnerhall offspring: Silbermond (EUR 195,000, highest price at Hanover auction), Sonnenreiter (EUR 120,000), Sir Rubinstein (EUR 105,000), Schickeria (EUR 355,000), Sankt Hülfer (EUR 300,000, highest bid at Vechta Auction), Sir Caramello and Siebenstein (EUR 500,000 each), South Coast (EUR 520,000). The youngest PSI highlight was Sean Connery II, sold for EUR 850.000 in 2015.
Dam Ultimate Girl brings more exceptional performance horse blood into the mix. She is by Kupferberg-Gold, winner of his Koerung who was sold immediately afterwards for a record price to the Netherlands where he was approved under the name of Bismarck for KWPN, Trakehner, Rheinland and Baden-Wurttemberg. He finished his 100-day performance test in Germany as 9th out of 51 stallions with a high ride-ability index and an even higher jumping index. The comments of the inspectors attested him nobility and a beautiful type with an outstanding neck and a clear and harmonious top line as well as a very correct and dry foundation. The gaits were classified as superior in engagement, reach and suppleness. The stallion was later on successful up to Advanced Level Dressage. He has produced many victorious offspring not only for Grand Prix and Intermediare Dressage but also for Jumping and sired the approved stallion Lorenzo's Fire. Bismarck is best known for his high quality daughters, many of which received ster and elite status. All of his foals inherit their sire’s beauty, type and athleticism along with his smooth and elegant movements. His sire Mahon was one of the best sons of world renowned Mahagoni and was noted for his exceptional ride-ability coupled with uphill movements, naturally great self-carriage and an extremely active hind end which translated into a powerful thrust and strong engagement. He produced several approved sons in Germany and the USA.
On the dam’s side Ultimate Girl carries the blood of many well-known sires and Elite and Premium mares like the unforgettable and very versatile Premium stallion HABICHT which shows up twice in her bloodlines. Habicht impressed the judges at the Stallion Koerung with his wonderful movement and a dominating appearance. He also won the stallion performance test at Westercelle with a commanding lead and famous Dressage, show Jumping and Eventing riders like Klimke, Goessing and Plewa vied to have him as mount for the Olympic Games. After six years in the sport, Habicht retired as one of the most successful three-day event horses and sired many international competiton horses like Livius (Ann Kursinski) and Windfall (Darren Chiachia, Olympic Team Bronze).
