Her sire VALENTINO is a powerful jumping stallion sired by the famous Voltaire. Earning a spectacular 9.6 for jumping ability and 9’s for temperament and willingness at the 2005 Stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf, Valentino easily won the jumper division of the test, and was the Reserve Champion overall. He is a dual purpose horse, his dressage scores from his stallion performance test were 121,09.
He has had numerous successful offspring - including Champion Dressage Foal at the Guelph Hanoverian Verband Inspection. This foal is being raised as a stallion prospect in Canada.
Out of his first foal crop in 2007, several of his offspring were admitted to the 2007 Hanoverian Spring Auction as Elite foals, and two of them went on to become licensed stallions a couple of years later. His son out of a Stakkato mare was honored as a Premium stallion and sold for 100,000 Euro. As of 2012, he has produced 3 licensed sons, 17 States Premium Mares/Candidates, and 32 foals and 7 horses in the Hanoverian auctions.
Valentino is sired by the Dutch bred Now or Never M who in turn is sired by the legendary Nations Cup victor, Voltaire. Now or Never M's damline is equally as impressive. He is out of the mare, Imke (Nimmerdor) who is a full sister to the international jumper, Glennwood Springs ridden by John Popely. Imke's sire, Nimmerdor was named the “Stallion of the Century” by the KWPN, and her damsire, Maykel is the sire of the international jumpers Felix ridden by Jos Lanskink and Cavalier ridden by Franke Sloothaak.
Valentino's damsire, Belisar, is most likely responsible for Valentino's wonderful gaits. Belisar won the 1986 KWPN Performance Test in Ermelo with top scores, and since then he has become widely known as a top sire of sport horses in the Netherlands. He passes on his abilities and holds a dressage index of nearly 150. One finds Belisar in the damline of top stallions such as Blue Hors Zack.
Vega’s Damsire, HOTLINE has a superior breeding record at the Bundeschampionat – and is aso a Prix St. Georges winner. What Hotline already proved under the saddle, he is holding on to it in breeding: His 93 successful progeny chalked up 8370 Euro in competition winnings – the oldest are four years-old. 72 horses alone collected 174 ribbons in tests for young riding horses, including finalists and medal winners at the Bundeschampionat.
Already in 2010, Hotline's first crop had its shining debut under the saddle represented by Horizon, who was sold for 550,000 Euro at the PSI Auction, and Halifax, who placed among the best five at the Bundeschampionat and several other progeny competing successfully in tests for young riding horses. Nine sons, including reserve champion of the 2010' South German licensing High Spirit, are already licensed. And at the 2011' PSI Auction his offspring was very demanded: Hopkins fetched 305,000 Euro, Hot Dance 100,000 Euro and Hot Spot 200,000 Euro. His daughter Sirikit became champion mare in Denmark in 2010. Hotline competed already successfully up to advanced class at the age of seven and when he was eight years-old he won Prix St. Georges at the Danish licensing in Herning. In 2008 he placed first in the Danish Bundeschampionat and a year later, he won the qualifier with 9.45 and became reserve champion. Hotline: A maker of riding horses par excellence!
