Black Velvet is an 8 year old Canadian X Morgan mare standing around 15.1hh. UTD on farrier, vaccines and deworming. Velvet has been taken along slowly and correctly, and has very well established groundwork trained via Parelli methods. Velvet was started under saddle last year with us and completed about 60 days under saddle in an indoor arena. She also spent the fall and winter trail riding with her owner.

She came back into work with us June 1st and is being ridden consistently in a training program. She has a sweet horsenality with a good (learner or work) attitude.

Velvet would currently be considered green under saddle, she is going well WJL, side pass, turn on HQ and FH. She will require an experienced rider with consistency to continue to advance her training. We are looking for the perfect home for her and will be requesting references. Reason for selling: Owner does not have the time or circumstances to give her the consistency she deserves to become her best self. Potential for trail mount, ranch riding, western dressage, reining or she should have no problem switching to english for low jumpers or dressage.
