10 year old registered Trakehner gelding, 15.2hh, bay.

Major Brown (Major) is by Passport, out of the Thoroughbred mare Majestic Believer, who is approved for Trakehner breeding and received the highest marks in BC for her inspection in 2000. Majestic Believer’s pedigree boasts many champion racehorses and sires including Pleasant Colony, Northern Dancer, Believe It, and Swaps. These athletic attributes have been passed on to Major through his dam. He has correct conformation and the athleticism, rhythm and efficiency of stride that allows him to gallop all day. He has beautiful movement and a sound mind and is very eager to please.

We bought him as an unstarted 6 year old at which time we did extensive ground work and started him under saddle. He has a solid foundation, has three nice paces and is schooling over jumps and has attended dressage and hunter/jumper shows and clinics this season. He won red and blue ribbons in every class we have entered. He is great on the trails, voluntarily takes the lead, crosses water and goes through tight spaces. He is the type of horse who requires variety in his training as he gets bored easily just doing arena work, so taking him out on the trails or popping him over a few jumps keeps him content. We have also done some liberty work and with the right partner he would make a solid, trustworthy liberty horse, both on the ground and in the saddle. He can also be ridden bitless. He requires a rider who is a leader as he looks to his rider for confidence and leadership and with the right person will do anything for you. He has a puppy-dog personality and will make a great partner. No vices, loads, hauls, bathes, stands for farrier etc. We have kept him barefoot with regular hoof-care (I am a barefoot farrier) and he has good strong feet. He has just had his teeth floated.
